It's not an error. Here is an extract from an email exchange between myself and Mark Leddington of MMC last year:

"From a type approval perspective, we homologated 3 variants of the traditional cars (all based on the ‘4/4’ model type as this was the most economical way to do this) and so we ended up with these variants - 4/4 1800 (4/4)
4/4 2000 (+4)
4/4 3000 (Roadster"

This came to light when I was arguing with the French registration authorities regarding my Plus 4 that I imported from Italy.


The issue I have with this, unless I'm wrong, is that 4/4 stands for 4 wheels and 4 cylinders, but roadsters have 6 cylinders.



Well you'd better take that up with MMC then.
