EV batteries need to be at about 40C to work efficiently, if the heating/cooling system can't keep the battery above 25C then the range of the vehicle falls, possibly to zero.
EVs are not as robust or resilient to climatic extremes as gasoline ICE engines.
They are not good at towing, especially in the winter.
They are wonderful city/urban/metropolitan vehicles.
