Thank you for the link, but unfortunately not. The lock arrangement on the "flap" cars looks like this one

with the lock body inserting through the plastic flap, and the black latch piece turning through 90 degrees to locate under a striker plate within the recess in which the (non-locking) petrol cap sits. So the diameter and depth of the entire mechanism has to be exactly correct to fit the hole in the flap, and the recess. I'm 99% certain the item in the link is correct (albeit with a black escutcheon, unlike the chrome one on the car). I was hoping that someone had been around this loop already, and could confirm matters.
