Richard have you considered moving to the Lithium Ion batteries much lighter and smaller for same capacity?
Definitely not Rob. Ridiculously expensive. Anyway you need a bit of weight over the back end
Seriously though the starting demands for an IC engine don't justify the costs of Li-Ion. The charging system is optimised for lead/acid as well.
