Hi Ken,
I replaced the Banner with a Xtreme AGM Battery item number CYLA30LXTA from our local Batteries Plus store. I picked this battery because it’s dimensions fit into the existing space without modifications.
Couple extra notes. I placed thin cork under the top cross plate to secure the battery better. Also if you use this battery, use the longer of the two bolts supplied and use two washers for the negative terminal and one washer for the positive terminal. That will be self explanatory when you install it.
After an all day search, I went to Batteries Plus and got the exact same battery. It fit perfectly, but we obviously have something different going on, lol. Not only did I not need a spacer like you did with cork, but I could barely get the bracket back on. Still, I was able to use the same Jayhawks that came with the car and get it snug down perfectly. Also I tried to use the longer bolts like you suggested and they were too long. I used the shorter bolts and didn’t use any washers at all. The battery cost me $145
