He did say "real" limit", not speed limit. Here in the US the actual limit may be 55, but the real limit (enforced) is more like 70. Though these days I have no idea what it is. Probably 75 or 80.
Exactly. It was 69 in a nominal 60 real limit 68 as they confirmed when they sent the NIP.( 10%+2) . More to the point it was on a completely open moorland road with no housing or junctions anywhere near. Plod with a hand held just as I came over a slight brow. Last one Rich was 1990 and it was the first one in 60 years..
As for the " no one has a reason for speeding" -

But the point that really annoyed was that the siting of the trap was absolutely nothing to do with safety and everything to do with trapping tourist drivers as on the NC500.
