At the risk of slightly drifting this thread, I would like to raise the spectre of "Cars I fancied but am really really glad I didn't buy". Top of that pile is a Marcos Mantis (the 1968 model).

I almost bough the aubergine one in Wiltshire about 25 years ago. My excuse at the time was that my garage was not long enough......Oh and the interior smelled of a public toilet. The archive pic of the blue one makes it look almost attractive (or striking maybe ????).
