Alternatives are available and can often be found on eBay. Dramatically cheaper than the Gates/S&S original. How good and reliable they are is something we will all find out eventually...
l've invested in one of these as a spare. It is noticeably more flexible and rubbery compared to the Gates original. Has anyone been brave enough to fit one yet?
