An Elderly friend of mine driving her Volvo had a puncture in Knutsford she thinks she caught a large rock sticking out of country lane.
She phoned Green Flag and explained what happened the operator who she thought was very rude told her it was classed as an accident and should contact her insurance !
She explained that in the terms and conditions it says punctures and damage to sidewalls. But he was adamant it was classed as an accident.
Luck I know a small garage in Knutsford who send two mechanics out to drive the car back slowly to the garage and take her home.As they would have to order the tyre in and there is no spare in modern cars !
After complaining to Green Flag they still insisted it is classed as an accident and an insurance claim!
They sent her a goodwill cheque of £50.
So remember if you clip a rock never admit it!
