This is a really interesting thread.
My Morgan experience is very different, as I have happily owned my ‘Black Top’ Zetec 4/4 for 17 years.
Through helping my local dealer out on occasion, I have driven most of the pre CX models.
My favourite was the Mk1 3.0 Roadster, with the exception of the poor ground clearance.
The sound of the Plus 8 was addictive, but for me it was a heavy old beast.
I then realised that, again for me, my humble 4/4 gave me everything I wanted the Morgan to do.
Huge fun, wonderful touring experiences and a group of like minded friends.
