Sadly my problems were not over, the engine kept cutting out it
would restart & idle but stop as soon as the revs built up.
I Had the three wheeler towed to a local auto electrician.
the problem was not the immobiliser. It was a loose connection to the 12v side of the coil.
The coil had been mounted so that an oil line was rubbing on it & engine vibration did the rest, loosened the coil connection & bent the female connectors.The coil was repositioned to clear the oil line. Fortunate really as a bolt was also rubbing on the oil line.
Problem solved, not really, the car was still cutting out intermittently. Finally they found the identical problem that PaulR identified, poor pin connection in the 15 pin plug between the chassis & engine looms. Here's hoping!
Incidentally, since I had the the Beazey Cush Drive installed the car is a pleasure to drive. even the large Aussie side mirrors have stopped vibrating.
