The whole turned metal part is held in with a couple of screws which are under the padded leather part. You don’t remove anything from underneath. Under the metal is a resin shape with a separate piece for holding in the circuit board for the tpms system.
After the pad is taken off as described by James you’ll see the two screws holding in the turned metal part. That was how mine was fixed when I removed it to send it to Simon to get a new turned metal unit fabricated.
