Always good advice, just done that after an hour's tootle/blast through the New Forest. Beer is mainly to celebrate the miracle of the fuel gauge, which suddenly started working again. A case of Major Tom to Earth I suspect.

Re the various issues on the CX's:
(a) were the worst to happen while you thought you "might as well just drive home", and there was a major prang, if the insurance was invalid surely that it a disqualification issue ?
and
(b) to help me understand the international dimension, how many of the CX's are living in say Germany, France, USA, Australia...etc, where distances from the customer to the dealer might be a flight away, i.e. an awfully expensive trailer ride.
