Sounds similar to Haznav ... who uses a non-glare paper map and is not to be contradicted ... she once navigated across Europe using the 4" square map of the continent in the back cover pages of her diary ... on the back of a motorbike 🙂

Reminds me of the time ex wife No 3 took an atlas of the world on our trip to Germany insisting it would be sufficient, needless to say we got hopelessly loss notably seeing the same filling station in Strasbourg 4 times. Incidently I was towing a brand new caravan that I had just collected from Munchen Gladbach.
