A few months ago when my Roadster was suffering from premature cut-out, I invested in some MAF cleaner spray (oh yes, very niche -- smells like somewhere between switch cleaner and carbon tet), but it was a lot less expensive than buying a new MAF sensor. In an unrelated alert, my OBD code reader has helped me 3 times by deleting the fuel gauge error code, yes I know there's a problem in there somewhere but as I use the odometer method of deciding when to re-fuel I'm not too bovvered.

I cleaned my maf before but had no effect. Its annoying trying to chase a fault. I need to replace a rocker cover gasket, so when that arrives, I'll see if that makes any difference.
