Fuel.inj yes the red arrows only had 6 in the display today. Wondered if the investigation was the cause. Hope it was just technical but they managed to still do a good show. Does not have the same impact as 9 in formation however.
Back in the day in Southend I helped organise a couple of Red Arrows parties. Great fun & never heard of any young ladies complaining about being molested who didn’t want to be molested. Never saw any of them drunk either. Their last departure from Southend was something to behold. There were Gnats everywhere, between the hangers at about 30 feet , below the cockpit height of a waiting Carvair causing the Skipper to complain. I couldn’t see the apron for coloured smoke. Simply brilliant. I found out later that it was all planned meticulously with timings heights etc. looked bl**dy dangerous but in fact quite safe.
Really hope the complainants today are proved to be unfounded & they go on being the best in the world.
