My proudest moment was when in 42 Commando RM we paraded our colours and Battle Honours in front of Her Majesty on Her Silver Jubilee culminating with a private dinner in our Mess, she stayed at the dinner with Prince Philip until after midnight dancing and having fun. A wonderful strong woman with an immense presence and sense of humor. God Save The King.


What an amazing memory to have.... I know a few in the armed forces and one who worked directly for the royal family. Their loyalty to Her Majesty runs very deeply.

She was an amazing servant to this country, dedicating her entire life - right up until only the last few hours - to our nation.

Losing such an extraordinary monarch is very unsettling for everyone. It's quite hard to believe she is no longer with us.
