For male royals in particular their (is it compulsory?) military service gives them a plus with the public. Like many royals (mainly male I presume) through the ages, it’s their power and privilege that gives them the opportunity and temptation to be a pleasure seeking playboy and let their nuts rule their brains which gets them into trouble sooner or later.
