This week sees our first Arctic Vortex of the season and time to break out the furry knickers. Temperatures will be around -27C during the day mid week coupled with a wind chill down to -40C and another foot of snow, it has been a cold start to winter this year with only a few days getting above freezing since mid November. Our snow pack is at 113% which is great for the ski resorts the lake is fully frozen to 10 inches thick and ice skating starts today on what is deemed to be the largest outdoor groomed skating rink in the world. The Bears will be enjoying their hibernation and I might just join them for a few days. The Moggies are all tucked up in their hibernation till May as the temperature in the garage will get way below zero. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
