The search function says south coast centre John…. but where the name comes from ... no idea
Yes indeed, centred on Portsmouth. Some years ago we tried to find the origin of the name but even the longest serving members didn't know. The best that anyone could come up with was that going further south would make you soggy! There was a proposal to change it to something more appropriate but no one could think of anything so it stayed.
Anyway, congratulations to Folkmog on the revitalisation. As others have said, the centres are the lifeblood of the club. Something the MSCC leadership don't always seem to appreciate.
