Cheers, unfortunately my "English" thread gauges have long since been lost, I guess the reason why the lower ones have washers is to ensure they don't touch the king pin.
The actual nipple is taper thread into the 45 deg adapter but that is definitely parallel into the bottom of the king pin assembly.
