Its Concours time again with invitations going out now for Salon Prive set for April 2023 in the U.K.
Our local TV picked up on the appearance of my Delorean at the Sydney Harbour Concours d'Elegance in early March
My 2011 4/4 was invited to this event some years ago but only as a support "car park filler"
This time it's the real thing.....

Here are some details
Well, the big day has almost arrived for my Delorean.
She will be parked up on Thursday inside Hyde Park Barracks on Macquarie Street, Sydney as one of the 40 cars invited to join the 5th Edition of the Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance.
This display is listed as the Southern hemisphere’s leading Concours. It was a finalist in the Concours Event of the Year at the Historic Motoring Awards in London.
Internationally recognised classic car commentator, columnist, consultant and entrepreneur Simon Kidston, will be the guest of honour. Simon is based in Switzerland and brokered the recent world record deal for the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé for 135 million euros.
The Concours jury will once again be led by Filip Bourgoo – Founder of the Zoute Grand Prix Week, Belgium, with his fellow judges;
Madan Mohan – Chairman & Managing Trustee
21 Gun Salute Heritage & Cultural Trust, New Delhi, India
Mariella Mengozzi – Director of Mauto, the Italian national motor museum, Turin, Italy
Patrick Dimier – Member of Parliament
and committee member for the Concours d’Elegance Suisse, Switzerland
Allan Winn - Vice President of Brooklands Museum, England
The black-tie Pommery Champagne Gala Awards Dinner will be held at the Royal Motor Yacht Club of NSW on Saturday 4th March. Simon Kidston will be the guest speaker over dinner at the Royal Automobile Club of Australia on Friday the 3rd while the Owners Welcome Drinks will be held on Thursday the 2nd in the grounds of Hyde Park Barracks which is our Concours venue.
Tickets for public entry on Friday and Saturday seemed a little pricy at A$385.00 per person, per day, but that does include a hard copy of the catalogue, a lavish picnic lunch with unlimited Pommery champers.
The two-day combined tickets were sold out even before I got to the website.
Absolute bargain if you ask me........😂
(Thank heavens I'm not paying for any of it)
