On my 69+8 the sliding pin broke in the slot .I managed to remove the transmission tunnel and gear lever.,then the bolts to the gearbox mounts and the bolts to the bellhousing . finally I managed to roll the gearbox upside down.luckiy the bolt thread tapped out. It was a lot ove work but less than taking the engine and box out.
