German barges (and many modern cars) are (too) easy to drive fast.
It doesn't take any special skills.
The thing I'm seeing more, is pulling into lane 2 from lane 1 on motorways without indicating, or just barging across. Old blokes seem to be the main culprits. That's based on my last trip to Devon.
