CBY Thanks for helping us understand the bumpy ride in my 4/4 ... At maximimum bump force as shown in that graph (which is most thought provoking) I think that it indicates we experience more than a doubling in weight. Taking the logical result forward I guess the weight of the vehicle would increase too and therefore the tyres double their footprint on the road. I don't think the MCC mention this feature in their sales brochure ! Now I know why those riders in a trials car jump up and down to increase traction on a steep hillside..
