Taking the Plus 8 on its first trip to France. Apart from roof rail water ingress and the usual fuel gauge randomness, so far so good. I did have a concern regarding having enough fuel at one point. On finally reaching our destination I decided to check the fuel tank capacity in the handbook. Found a piece that brought a great deal of amusement, section 12.8 “ Determining the correct load limit”. Apparently it’s appropriate to ask passengers to provide their weights but more than that, the calculation suggests that 5 passengers may be permitted!! Perhaps it was the effect of driving the Plus 8 350 miles in the rain but thought it worth a mention if it has not been before. Thats classic....
