WARNING

The goal of having an elaborate vehicle cooling system in which we pump a liquid we call "coolant" through a
vehicle engine is (duh!) to COOLTHE ENGINE
. Engines have been exhaustively (pun!) tested by the
manufacturers within a tight range. Below a certain minimum, they run too cool, inefficiently, with bad mileage
and get badly gummed up inside. They innards are a mess...seen that many times. Above a certain maximum
temperature for too long a time, they blow gaskets, twist heads and boil over. Boiling over is the surest symptom
that something is amiss in this area..or has already caused the damage indicated. Why eliminate key symptoms
of pending engine damage. ?

The goal of Evans Coolant is merely not to boil over, which is not a primary goal that any car manufacturer
ever thought of. Yet for some reason, (better marketing?) this stuff caught on more deeply in the UK than in the
USA, where it is made! Was that caused by boiling over in a cooler climate....more bumper to bumper traffic? I
drove a very muscly Morgan, a model historically infamous for overheating, for 11 years in the UK/Europe. Never
boiled over, except once, after I blew my head gaskets with my earlier, smaller engine. I have been known to
indulge in sporty driving. [BLUSH!]

For American-style autocross, surely the most engine-heating pastime I have ever encountered on two continents,
I recommend pure unmixed coolant. John Sheally II, with over 1200 wins sent to Peter Morgan, used it. Also much
cheaper. But for a road-going engine, find a water based brew and cooling system and tuning that keeps your
engine within that magic range.
