On Belle the indicators stopped & the car wouldn't start once stopped. It was the starter relay coming loose. I replaced it and all is well. The starter relay feeds power to the ECU & I think BCU.
I would check the relays are a good fit & the push fit of connectors to the BCU etc in case they are loose.
