When buying my first Mog Phil at Allon Whites gave me tips on greasing. The main one was to lever up the damper blade bronze plate on the hub to see grease coming out in the gap. This showed two things.
Grease had gone in
It lubricated the plate/hub to help keep steering lighter.
I did mine at 1k miles max and with the hard chrome kingpins I had no wear problems over 40k+ miles. I used a pneumatic grease gun so easy to lever up the plate whilst triggering the grease gun. Turning the wheels left/right made access to the nipples easier. (Behave yourselves)
