Learnt the hard way not to use/trust the hand brake when jumping out of the car to post a letter on a hill with the engine running. Plus 4 started slowly rolling down the hill - luckily managed to jump in and use foot brake.
Only use fly off with engine off and in gear and preferably level.
You know it makes sense!
