LV wanted £345 for the year, NFU quoted £1200, but the agent said, verbally, we don't want EVs.
A couple of other insurers quoted prices 1.5 to 2 times LV.
The reason, when I got one, was "our underwriters are not able to properly assess the full cost of accidents"
This is conformed by recent developments, John Lewis Financial Services are reported to have suspended quoting on EVs for much the same reason.

This issue is going to get more of a problem for EV owners as EVs take a larger share of the market.
Another reason to stay ICE, at least for now.
