I would image a spike in fuel costs would be hard to manage with those who drive a lot and I have a few friends where this can be detrimental to them financially. Since covid and now working from home almost full time, thankfully this doesn't affect me as much.
Right or wrong, when it comes to my personal car (the 4/4), I fill up with Shell premium 100% of the time. Yes, it is more expensive but I have peace of mind knowing what I am getting. Skipping a Costa or Starbucks that week evens it out
