The failed fuse caused a no-start, but may not cause a running engine to stop. In the good old days I would have suggested running the engine and pulling the fuse - BUT these days it might do something horrible to the ECU, so it's not worth the risk.
The factory (and Dealers) should know what engine fuse 3 does.......
