I was watching a programme on Isambard Kingdom Brunel & they showed his drawing instruments, just like the ones I have. They were used by a relative of mine a joiner born 1846. I used them in school.
I dug them out & found that the foam I had used to cushion them had disintegrated & has marked some of them. I have tried methalated spirit & WD40 to clean them. Has anyone suggestions what to do to clean them?.
