Interesting, the link to ECS tuning says they sell "Castrol SAF XJ" in the text but the picture of the can is the newer Transmax limited slip 75w140. I have bought it and it doesn't say SAF XJ anywhere on the can ;-)

It was/is also called Syntrax. When I spoke with BTR Dowunder, I got a curt, "we made it clear what you should you use"! , without elaboration. So considering how rarely this the change is needed and how imortant the right fluids are, I use the BMW product. (label above), especially now that the Morgan BTR axles have gone the sad way of the Morgan Salisburys :(, who wants to take a chance? I have used the BMW with BTR approval and haven't had a issue in 100,000 kms.
I discretely did not ask them about anything else. gmg
