No because it was empty.

Even if it was full they shut down for safety reasons so as not to feed back into the grid. They need the grid frequency to work.

The panels are on one inverter and the batteries on another as I put them in separately. If they were on the same inverter maybe the batteries would charge but I can't say that for sure.

You can get a socket on the inverter but the cost £300 so I declined.
