Well, I'm part of a minority, but I have a manual PlusFour and I like it. I'm also used to the 8-speed auto gearboxes on previous BMW's, they are superb, but it's an emotional thing that I want the Morgan to be manual. Yes, I recognize the long ratio's from the 6-speed manual Mini Cooper of SWMBO, 6th gear is for the motorways, but I have fun with it! So no regrets.
I guess I’m in the minority too…. Just love a manual… but totally agree the ratios and 8 speed of the auto with paddles is way better from a driving performance point of view.
So the manual Morgan uses a mini cooper manual box ? So perhaps the ratios are just what Morgan could get from BMW ….
