I imported a T140V from the UK to Holland and also an Audi 80 from Bavaria where I was living in 1989. Both needed an official MOT inspection. When the officials saw I was from the UK they sailed through despite the Bonnie being 104 dBa vs the 72 in the regs.
IBy 1995 I had moved to Kenya and imported an Indian 6v Bullet 350 I had owned for under 12 months. EU regs wanted 10k euro as a vehicle importer as it was so new. I appealed and had to drive from Den Haag to
Utrecht for the review. My lucky the chief inspector was retiring and his first bike was a Bullet. So we passed. I would say check carefully before you import.
