Surely no import duties in Northern Ireland and VAT payable as in the UK, or am I missing something? I've purchased stuff privately from NI, shipping costs about the same as the rest of the UK.
You are correct. However, think this guy lives in the South (ROI) and guess he was hoping that if a Morgan dealer existed in the North, he could drive up and buy from them without the extra taxes that are imposed for direct imports to the South. There are no official borders to negotiate nowadays.
