Richard, are the orange/white wires in the bomb tail all live (ignition on)? were they designed into the loom for whatever car it was originally designed for? If I have understood that correctly then I like the idea of a readily available live feed. Would it then be alright to fit an inline fuse. I'm sure both items have a negligible current draw, what would you suggest fuse wise, 5A or below?
John., Well I have to upgrade the radio as mine is still fitted with the original Blaupunkt unit AM/FM CD and I can't get anything on the radio although in fairness we only tend to use the CD and it has no USB socket. I'm thinking of a CD player with Bluetooth connectivity only so we can use the phone to control the unit. any ideas or thoughts on where to go there would really help!
BM, Thanks, I suppose tee-ing into the live feed of the radio could always be an option which would already be fuse protected. Keeping the wiring very simple!
