Well fundamentally the Everflex hood is plastic and impervious to most things you could apply. anything that would effect it would I'm afraid damage it! They are known for being too stiff or softening in the heat to being a bit saggy! Are you having issues when putting the hood up? Is that a difficult issue for you. If so there is a solution for that, but its mechanical. A little more information could help resolve your issues I hope. However when all is said and done and although I have a mohair hood, the Everflex is the most easy of the two to maintain/clean.
