The other area that suffers is where the cable loom comes through the body to door gap. It can get tight and snag/wear/snap. If it has worn and cables are shorting that might be a risk? It is quite a few and the bundle is often wearing, my S2 suffered from that.

On the S1 the front of the doors overlap with the body on the outside leading to water being forced down the door frame and along the bottom of the door into the internal leather sill trim. Important to try and soak that up if you have been out for a blast and are about to put it away or it leads to the trim behind your seat going nasty (carpet and leather side trim)

Pop the door trim off and have a look at the cable bundle for wear and exposed wires. This can also happen inside the body where it goes through the hole into the cavity which is a devil to get into?

If you have a dehumidifer then get it not working after a wet run. Have a go at getting the water and humidity out of the door. Now try it whilst wiggling the door open and closed. Then prepare for a seriously tedious session unpicking and releasing it all.

If it is the motor to window mech multi-stranded cable then you are likely to hear the motor movement still and as it starts to go you will hear the spare stranded "brushing" in the cavity?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
