1958 was a transition year. Depending on when in the year..exactly how today works with the modern cars. Your car would either have 5.25x16s or 550 x 15s. As you presently
have 15 inch wheels. I will assume the later..but to be sure you should contact the MMC for your original build sheet. Be careful, they now charge enormously for them, when

60 spoke wire wheels were available from 1958 to 1969 as an option. Though 60 spokes go out of true if you stare at them too intently. The later 72 spokes are more solid.

Neither than will change anything. A better suspension or tight wheel bearings do not correct the sadness of the very wrong tyres.

Essentially you are using a too large (wider) tyre. That will also change the glorious Morgan handling and we do not know about your wire wheels yet.
