Richard, they did indeed Heather lived in Thetford at the time (when we met in Norwich at the Samson and Hercules one evening) with her family and you would often see them around the place.
Mannering lived up to his name and was not popular with the locals unlike the rest of the crew.
This did somewhat amuse us all as Heathers Dad was a Major in the Royal Artillery having joined up as a bugler at the age of 15 and a nicer, kinder more grounded individual I have yet to meet.
