My car has the same scuttle as yours (no crash pad - just painted metal)…did you use sheet metal screws (pointed tip) or machine screws with a nut? I was originally going to use #8 machine screws with an acorn nut - but the more I think about it, sheet metal screws might provide more purchase if I add a small rectangular piece of metal underneath...would appreciate any advice from the group.

BTW - absolutely love the engine turned dash in your car - did you make it yourself? Very trick!
