I have two local branches within distance. Always found them useful for odds and sods. I asked the Basingrad shop manager how things were in the current climate as two of the retail sheds around him had closed?
1. They were making more on bikes than car parts 2. The ability to fit parts was of benefit to elderly and single mums etc who had less skill but not really used enough 3. Figures were not good.
His observation was that the complexity of modern cars were making it difficult to be considered and more people were using main stealers and some of the specialists more. Also the old fashioned go-faster market we knew from our youth had gone on-line to temu, alibaba and amazon.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
