BTW, if anyone has got any clever ideas about how you can squeeze a bed into a 90 Hardtop I'd be very interested!
The only way I've seen it having been done on a 90 was a thin 'folding' bed that ran the length of the 90 and went between the seats. Without wishing to state the obvious, this was a single occupancy only option. If I recall correctly, I also saw one where the owner removed the passenger seat and this allowed for a wider bed but the issue was that you couldn't carry a passenger unless they used one of the rear, side mounted, folding seats, which isn't pleasant for long journeys!
I know you've vetto'd pop-ups in your reply but Ex-Tec used to offer a pop-up for the 90 that looked seamless when it wasn't in use and to the untrained eye, you'd struggle to know the roof cantilevered up and made for a sleeping space.
