I guess the term restomod came into being due to ever increasing govt (DVLA in the UK) regulation relating to emissions and safety requirements for new vehicles circa the 90`s which attracted those who liked the style of older sports cars and caused them to be able to modify them while not being as restricted in the mods they could make as they would be with newer cars in such a way that they could introduce a degree of modern expectations relative to comfort and convenience, Apple play apparently being a frivolous example, as well as all sorts of other performance enhancements... I think I typed in the recent past that I thought that surprisingly Morgan were ahead of the restomod game when they introduced the CX....? (-:
