Need to tell you: I have just cancelled my M3W contract
Multiple reasons but the main is that I have lately had a good cause to reflect a little upon life and priorities…
The first M3W prototype struck me with full blown love at first sight when I saw it in February 2011 and I just had to order one at once. But with my recent painfully obtained insights maybe I should instead go for something slightly more "usable" in this northern climate and that fits my needs, time and opportunities better (not just on the odd sunny summer Saturday evenings). I hate to see sports cars eating dust in the garage...
The majority of my motoring friends are 200-500 km away and my daily trip to work 170 km (there and back), this is the kind of travel I would love to use my Morgan for on a regular and even daily basis, not forgetting Norway and Austria.
Browsing my doubts I recently came across the new 3,7 Roadster…a interesting alternative. Probably boringly civilised and maybe just a half step in the right direction (and with one wheel to many) but at least a Morgan. Unfortunately I can not afford both and stepping up to the Roadster’s price tag will already cause the need of renewed attention and care for the piggy bank
. I will wait with my order until seen/driven...want to be 100% sure this is the cure.
Not a reason but…during the waiting period I have also obtained five other three wheelers with alu-dressed wooden frame (Fuldamobil NWF200,-54, see my avatar). Yes, it has gone a little out of control…got seriously bitten by the three wheeled bug after Geneva I guess.
My dealer has been very professional during this discussion and quickly found a solution. When arranging the paper work regarding the cancellation I had another look at his M3W demonstrator in the show room. It looked even better, faster and shinier than ever…this has not been an easy decision. The M3W is THE Vehicle!
I am fully confident in that the M3W today is a fully developed quality product. I will for sure continue to follow the discussions and evaluations at this great forum! I guess I will also be first in line in 2017-19 something…when the M3W mkII arrives…400 kilos and 150 hp (with snow chains, heater and inflatable canopy as options).
