It’s a pity there’s not a facility to add young drivers when the policy holder is in the passenger seat, that would be a great way to allow others to experience cars they’d otherwise not be able to, the owner/policy owner acting as a chaperone similar to a co driver while learning.
Another trick to keep in mind, you can pay the annual surcharge for the additional young driver and remove them later when it’s no longer required, winter for instance, the surcharge will be refunded pro-rata.
